November 1st 1934
I had fun yesterday. I didn’t think I would, but I did. We were even allowed to have junk food. I had about ten of these chocolate chip cookies, I loved them.
Everyone was really nice too. They helped me out, and one of them even won a bobbing for apples game for me.
Some of the bigger guys still make me nervous. Sam said it was just natural and I’d grow out of it. I hope he’s right.

I was helping out Mr. D, I like to call him Dio, out today in his wine cellar. I guess he figured I wouldn’t try to drink it.
He was wrong.
The step-jerk always went on about how only men should be allowed to drink it. I guess I’m still trying to defy him in one way or another.
Anyway, I was caught trying to open one. I didn’t get in a lot of trouble since the bottle was still closed, but I was given kitchen duty for the next week.
I still find it weird that he never took the bottle from me.

Some more entries for Ruby's diary. Seems I'm almost done. Sadly, the Christmas season has come too fast (seriously, Christmas music is already playing on the radio) So, I might start posting Christmas this, maybe I'll wait until after I'm done this series.
